COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Our lecture series provides an overview of the Removable Dental Prosthesis and Surveying. We have tried to improvise your concepts and give a clear picture of this topic. For interviews, some dental schools require you to perform surveying of a cast on a Dental Surveyor and present a design. A few other schools test your theoretical knowledge on this topic extensively.

- Removable partial denture and its indications
- Kennedy’s classification for partially edentulous arch and the Applegates rules
- Components of a removable partial denture
- Rests and rest seats – function, classification, characteristics, and placement of each type of rests
- Direct retainers – types, a brief overview on clasp types, RPI and RPA system
- Indirect retainers
- Temporary partial denture – types, indications, and designing procedure
- Dental surveyor – parts, various types, and the surveying procedure of a removable partial denture
- Basic steps and principles in RPD Surveying
- Designing of a removable partial denture
